Both are extremely controlling of their sons and also are against Indian culture, including actions.
they both seem like bad role models, and appear to be in situations that they do not want to be in in their lives
Both men are abusive towards thier sons whether it is physical with Bird or emotional with Buck. They don't respect thier sons enough to let them be who they truely are. They feel they must tell their boys how to act.
Bird doesn't really seem that much against Indian culture; he just doesn't like violent, hostile Indians
