Pay a lot of attention to John Pai's apostrophe to Abraham Lincoln on page 24. It's all about John Pai being torn between being an indian and being a civilized man now. Abe Lincoln's part of it because he had a similar problem when he freed the slaves, but still had lots of people disagreeing with his decisions.
