the DR now

Shelley- I would find favorite foods, festivals and vacation spots in the DR really interesting.

Baseball in the DR

I've been watching the Little League World Series for a couple of weeks now, and during an international game the announcer mentioned the DR having some of the best players in the world at one time. I think I'm going to write an article about the DR being a huge baseball power back in the day. I'm probably going to write it the article set in the 60's as if there were a recent game, but writing in modern time would be cool since I could talk about there fall from the top. Ideas?

It is easier to do this project if you think about what you would want to read about in a newspaper. If you are doing it in the 1960's then try to imagine how life was in the Dominican Republic during that time. I am writing on current events occurring now in the DR. Is there anything anyone is interested in learning about, in the DR?

ideas

I found it helpful to look over the chapters in the book that took place in 1960. They mentioned a few things that you could include in your newspaper.

Movie Reviews!

Does anyone have any ideas for a movie review?

p.s. I'm doing my newspaper on the revolution in 1960's. So something around that time would be good.

If you brainstormed some great article ideas that you AREN'T using, or that you are using but are willing to share, post them here.

Cars in the D.R.

Does anyone know which cars were mentioned in In The Time Of The Butterflies? I know that enrique had a Jeep and a nice ford that he would always drive to the yellow house, but im making sure there are no others so that i can write an article about Cars in the D.R.

Anarchist Cookbook

Hey, I was wondering if any of you know if its legal to have information on bomb making. Is that something that the Patriot Act outlawed? Will I get in trouble for looking for information on this?
