I was wondering if Bianca is known to be of color, and she is persecuted in the play and society like Othello, or is it just a coincidence in the picture I found she is black??

    Probably just a coincidence. Remember, "Bianca" means "white" in Italian

    its possible the people who made the movie thought Bianca was an African name(thinking its like Shoniqua(sp)) or something
