Does anyone get Sister Leopolda's quote about stigmata on page 59?? I believe its a religious reference. "I have told my sisters of your passion...how the stigmata...the marks of the nails...appeared in your palm and you swooned at the holy vision".
I beleive that it is a Jesus refrence. Stigmatas are holy symbols, that appear on a persons body. The nails and palms is refering to jesus being nailed on the cross.
