  1. I don't think he met Jesus and God, because they are one in the same, I beleive he met Jesus and Gabriel, or another angel. Im not entirley sure, does anyone else know?

  3. Here is an excerpt from "JOSEPH SMITH—HISTORY
EXTRACTS FROM THE HISTORY OF JOSEPH SMITH, THE PROPHET
History of the Church, Vol. 1, Chapters 1-5." (I can't underline). Joseph Smith attests that he saw God and Jesus:

"17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself adelivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I bsaw two cPersonages, whose brightness and dglory defy all description, estanding above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!"

  5. Lawrence - "technically" YOUR church and its dogma says God and Jesus are one and the same, but obviously not all religions agree on that point. Remember, Christianity has thousands of different variants, not all of which subscribe to the idea of a tripartite God.

  6. Well, the Mormons believe that God was once a man, so it was possible that he saw two of them, if that's what they believed.
