Thebes. Laius was the King of Thebes, but when he was told of the prophecy by the oracle, he tossed out his son. Oedipus, Laius' son, was then found on Mt. Cithaeran or however it's spelled. Then, he was brought to King Polybus who lived on Corinth. He was born in Thebes, but was raised in Corinth.
