A while back, I was introduced to a version of Dante's
Inferno that satirized modern day society (i.e. McDonald's arches in Hell). I did some searching, and found that it was done by someone named Sandow Birk. Not only did he translate the
Inferno, he also adapted the classic illustrations done by Gustave Dore. I couldn't find much more information than that, but what I did find was that the same guy made a movie.
