3 masked men
Is anyone else a bit confused about the three masked men? First we find out that it's Reggie, the deaf kid, and another, with their baseball bats and attacking the college student on the Indian Heritage Football Field. But then we also find out that Aaron, and his two friends are suiting up in the same colored masks (blue, purple, and as they described, the "leader" in white (which happens to be Reggie and Aaron that wear the white). Am i just confused or is their an underlying meaning to these masked men, are they trying to trick the reader?

I like how Alexie does this. It adds to that comparison between characters that Ms. Deckard was talking about.
yeah its kind of like a war that is going on between the two races. because of the indian killer, Seattle goes up in a racial uproar, with groups of people taking violence out on other groups of innocent individuals.
i agree with andrew. alexie is trying to emphasize the racial war that has come up in Seattle.

One group beats Indians, one beats whites, not that hard to figure out which one they are talking about and when.
I think Alexie uses the fact that there are two sets of masked men, three white and three Indian, to show just how similar the two groups are, while at the same time they are differernt. Both sets beat up people of the other race for revenge of some sort.
I agree with EMily. He does this to show how closely related these two groups are even though they hate each other
i think its meant to be this way. there are two different groups of three beating up the opposite race of them. it would be cool if they ended up fighting each other
I was confused about this too at first, but i'm pretty sure that there is only one group that is masking, and that is Aaron and his crew. Aaron's crew targets indians while Reggie's crew go after white men.
Only one crew wears masks. Reggie and his crew don't wear masks, that's why Reggie blinds that guy.
