Cults and Circle 6

Well, it certainly is disappointing to me that 6th period didn't manage to get the cult video going. When you read this weekend, you will see that Circle 6 is full of heretics, those who denied the teachings of the church. It is also full of cultists, those who followed a path other than that proscribed by the Catholic church. Cults are a very relevant topic for us today, as there are hundreds of cults operating world-wide, many of which are in the news over and over again as a result of their beliefs, leaders, and, unfortunately, tragic deaths in some cases. Over the long weekend, in addition to reading the cantos that are assigned, go to the Bulletin Board part of the HW site and link to the youtube videos I've posted. Watch these videos on the Ugandan Death Cult, Jonestown and the People's Temple, and Heaven's Gate. Take notes on what you watch and hand it in on Tuesday. See you soon!
