Snowball
I found some information about the snowball fight we talked about briefly in class today. It says that the whole scenario began in Pistoia, which is a few miles from Florence. It explains how Focaccia, member of the Cancellieri family, kills his Uncle and cuts off the hands of his cousin. He did this because he was chastised by his Uncle for throwing a snowball. A feud developed among the Guelphs and it caused the immergence of two parties: Neri (blacks), and Bianchi (whites). This website I've posted has a lot more information on Dante and many other things about the two groups. Check it out if you're are interested. http://www.dantealighieri.net/cambridge/guelphs.html

This story kind of reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, how the blacks and whites are fighting but they dont really know why, or because of a dumb fued. This story's pretty interesting and it's funny how it literally started becasue of a snowball fight.
