Ha that can be true. All of these pictures are really cool, they all look like they're dancing to their own rhythm and bowing to their cheif or the God they praise.

how could outsiders take a dance as a threat, thinking that this cool looking dance meant the Indians were going to attack. I just don't see this as threatening.

The new settlers probably took the Ghost Dance as a threat because they had never seen anything like it before. All they could see were the Native Americans jumping around and making lots of noise. They might have thought they were practicing their battle cries. Either that or they thought the Native Americans were crazy. Either way, it most likely freaked them out.
