just a little ?
So we were talking about how Gregory is the more sensitive one in Act. 1 scene 1.. then why is it that wheritt always says how much he loves the children and stuff like that. I don't get how he's not really caring about the kids since he says the different positive things about them as well??

I think its more his job to be strict. He is the disciplinarian, so that could be why.
and he's talking about how he loves the kids, but he also doesnt really think of them as "human" children. he has these steriotypes and misconceptions and isnt very understanding of the fact that in order for them to accomplish their mission and "help" the indian children, it will need to take a lot of time.
thank youu!!!
