Ques.
Okay, so the day that Sunny finds Edgar by the windmill doing his thing... does she actually know what he's doing or no. I think she does but just checking to be sure. She says how she won't tell on him and she sees him going out here a lot lately. In return he states he won't tell on her either.. for what exactly?

I read that same part and got confused on the same thing, but i reread it and i think that he was just saying in general that he wouldn't be a "tattle tail" about anything she told him or did. I assume that is the way Edgar is telling Sunny that she can trust him, unlike her little brother Brain.
I think so too. They seem to have a different bond about them. When they're talking they seem to understand each other quite well. I'm sure it's much different than what they thought it would be like.
I don't think Sunny knows what he's doing. I think that she thinks he's outside feeling lonely, or crowded, or longing for freedom. I think she assumes he's out there for the same reasons she is. I think that if she realized what he was doing, she'd give him some privacy.
