Here is a great link for more information on the Kiowa tribe and what distinguishes them from other Native American tribes. Check it out and let us know what you find.

I found some simple words in the Kiowa language and it is a lot different from English! No wonder they had a hard time learning English.
For example:
English - Kiowa
One = Pa
Two = Yi
Man = Ch'i
Woman = Ma
Sun = Pay
...and there are a few others on the site!

i think there language is extra interesting after looking at this site. if you look at the words and try and match or find some sort of foundation to the language, it does not seem like there is one. it seems like words are just made up with no foundation to the language... i dont know its hard to explain.

I know there are reservations still today, but it never really hit me until now that N.A.'s still speak their own language. Each tribe is like a little single country inside of ours.
