Barry Pinkley and Count Olaf

Does anybody see a resemblance in the two characters of Count Olaf from Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events and Dr. Barry Pinkley in Udall's The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint? Both "villainous" characters are avoided by the main characters of each novel, and yet both men are ALWAYS able to find a way back in to the children's lives of these books... just thought the resemblance was noteworthy

No, not really a noteworthy resemblance.

I said that earlier hahaha I completely agree like since the beginning of the book that's what I have pictured BArry as and that's why I think he's a creep.

yeah, it's actually a pretty significant similarity, Lex. The fact that these two villainous characters share so many traits is not that common in literature.

But besides those traits, nope. Why choose to compare him to Count Olaf? For all I care, you could compare him to Dr. Doom!
