I think it's weird how not having the alcohol causes Gordie to freak out, and how he then resorts to the Lysol, because he needs something in his system. Anyway, what I don't exactly understand is why Marie says how much she loves her first born, Gordie, but will kill him if he gets out again? And on the third day he will rise again? I know this must be some sort of biblical allusion.. but what's the relation to it in the chapter?
