Thats intersting how the N.A.'s burried their dead. Eventhough we down here in N.O. we have different methods of burrial, this type is much different from our own.

yes it is very interesting to see how little tradition and ceremony the Indians have for burial rites considering that this is a very important aspect in most other cultures

burial is always interesting when it is different i think. i would never think of burrying someone in a tree. very interesting.

I thought that the indians would have a lot more tradition in their burial methods. Maybe their spirituality didn't emphasize alot on death.

Its a very unique way of burying people...maybe they wanted to be very unique

this is iteresting, but this picture looks almost gruesome to me, do they just put the bodies up there or do they put them in something first?

That's awesome. I thought it was crazy at first, but then when Ms. Deckard told us about how they were connected with the air it really made sense.

yeah i think in a way it makes the body more "intoch" with the earth because the air will move the "spirit" throughout the earth more than a body burried in dirt.

yeah i agree with g and having them buried the way they do it is more meaningful to the tribes
