ohk...
in act 4 scene-1 iago tells lodo-whatever his name is that othello has hit his wife Desdemona. When I was reading it I didn't read any scenes that indicated that he hit her.I know Iago told Othello to choke her their bed since, according to Iago, that's where Desdemona and Cassio have been sleeping with eachothet. So did Iago say this just to stir things up or did Othello hit her.

In Act IV, Scene I Othello strikes his wife, Desdemona, and calls her the Devil!! Line 239 and 240 in the play.
Iago and Lodovico discuss when Othello hit his wife. Lodovico noticed that his demeanor has changed. The Moor who the whole senate calls on has changed and Lodovico is warry of him now.
THANKS EM!
So he definitely hits her, does he hit her more than once? This is because Othello thinks Desdemona and Cassio slept together but they really didn't right?
yep christine, Othello has only hit Desdemona once thus far. And yes, Iago has convinced Othello that Desdemona and Cassio slept together (using the hankerchief as the physical proof) but they really did not. That's correct!
