Thanks man thats gonna help alot. I always pay more attention to those audio books, because it forces me to fallow along. That way i cannot get side-tracked.
I'm sure Ms. Gamble will be around! I will not be back for Friday. My grandfather passed away this morning and the funeral will be Thursday. I will do my best to check the blog Tuesday and Wed. though - not Thursday - so post questions and I'll help you. Metamorphosis is weird I'll grant you, but if you focus on atmosphere, notice how much anxiety Gregor feels about his job nad how this anxiety is related to the reader, you'll be OK. Also, pay attention to how weird everyone's reactions are. This is not a normal family. What are their concerns?
Have you seen "Falling Down"? In a way, the frustrations with modern society that the main character in that movie feels are very similar to Kafka's own - he just turns those feelings towards himself, not the outside world.
Don't worry too much, I'm having Mrs. Siegal give you questions to guide your reading. I'll be back on Monday - it's the best I can do.

I'm really sorry about your grandfather Ms. Deckard. KQ thanks for the audio option. It is easier to pay attention to the audiobook.
