Is Kate childish, spiteful, or just waiting for love?

I can't decide if she just didn't want to get married because she hasn't found someone she was interested in or if she just wants to spite her sister and society. What do yall think?

What I got out of it was that Kate was very unimpressed by the intelligence of the men that had courted her before she met Petruchio. After she and Petruchio had the exchange with all the puns, I think she felt like she found her match with Petruchio.

i agree. i think in a way she was breaking him in and testing him

yea it could be that, or she is just really stuck up and prissy, but she comes around in the end

She seemed at first to just be childish but once she and petruchio talked she appeared to have been attracted to him since they are a perfect match

before petruchio, kate is just mad at the world and has good reason to be.

Well I think she is just reacting that way because her father loves Bianca so much and wants her to get married so Kate won't get married to punish her sister .

i think in the beginning Kate was spiteful of her sister and father's relationship but in the end she found a good love match for herself and came out on top out of all the relations.

I think the situation between Kate and her sister and father really hurt and upset her and so she became very spiteful, but i don't think it started out that way. I think she may have wanted love but felt it was never going to happen and so she just became very angry.

i think she was just tired of all the pressure and people saying things about her so she decided to just do what they wanted her to do. i dont think she really changed
