i agree with that statement because there are a lot of twisted and tangled relationships in this story. I think that love is the medicine for heartbreaks which causes people to forgive one another

I agree with the forgiveness statement. Ms. Deckard said that the book itself is June's resurrection. In the beginning of the book, June dies, and all we know about her is that she's a prostitute. However, as the story unfolds, we learn about her family and her past. The book redeems June. By the end of the book, we forgive June.

i think laurie makes a really good point about forgiving june. there are a lot of other examples of forgiveness throughout the story too though. even marie sort of forgives sister leopolda after all the cruel things she did to her.

Probably i mean alot of the women in the book got to forgive them en for things that they have done, like Marie and Nector for example.

i agree because a lot of characters have problems between each other but eventually they forgive each other like Marie forgives Nector

forgiveness is one of the main themes of this book. Marie forgives Nector and Lulu also forgives Nector.

I think that the title of the book pertains to the theme of forgiveness. Love is the medicine that cures grudges. If you have unconditional love for someone you will forgive them.

there are a lot of themes of forgiveness in this book and i deffinetly agree with Laurie and how June is a big part of this because it kind of puts her down in the beginning of the book but as the book goes on people praise her

the fact that these characters forgive each other also show that they do not hold grudges which shows that they are strong people and can move on from a bad situation in their life
