no body knows the exact birthdate of Boticelli. that mean he never celebrated his birthday with others since his birthday was never written down. this does not just apply to boticelli, alot of famous people born before the 1500''s and some after, people do not have a exact birthdate for them. that is just weird to me.
Yeah G. I agree. But you know what's wierd to me? Your spelling and grammer is horrific. Anyway. Alot of people in history are gay also that i didnt even know about. Especially during the Renaissance.
in the 15th century, traitors in england were impaled on a long stake that entered the wrong way through a certain hole and exited through the mouth. oddly, there was not much torture occuring in italy.
At one time the vatican was looked upon as a dirthole and was once said, "Drink the Vatican, and you drink venom" of course it is looked upon much different today.
i thought it was interesting that botticelli started off painting pictures of like venus and other gods but then he became really religious and destroyed some of them and started painting more religious images like of the madonnas
the commercial for the new treehouse of horror shows a dante-like inferno with bart in his devil costume..you can see it when the world series is on strange facts..enlighten me
brunetto latini (he was in circle 7) was a father figure to dante when his dad died, but when dante wrote the divine comedy he actually put latini in the 7th level of hell
I think it's interesting that Michelangelo thought painting was stupid, especially because he painted the Sistine Chapel. It's also interesting that one of his sculptures was sent to France and disappeared there.
I think it is interesting that people during the middle ages though Garlic was so powerful that it could cure anything from a toothache to the plague. It could also buy you three prostitutes or one male slave, depending on what you were looking for that day.
left handed people were really rare back then bc they were superstitous and when they saw a kid favoring their left hand they'd force them to use their right.
even though i already knew this before, in the middle ages some musical scales were not used because when the notes were played together they sounded eire and were considered the devils music and forbidden
The birth date of Titian is so unclear, and I think it's interesting that religion was such a major part of their lives that people can only guess how old you are because the day you were baptized was recorded.
