Class...

What was everyones perspective on the Mormon missionaries that spoke to us in class?

I learned a lot of things that I didnt know before, like the fact that when they are on their missions, they are not able to talk to their families.

well they can talk to their families, they talk to them through email, and it is once a week. Plus they are able to talk to them every six months and talk on the phone with them. But sister martin is lucky because when she is able to call/communicate with her family she can use skype, so she gets to video chat.
But i thought it was interesting and i didn't expect them to look the way they did, i thought they would have to wear a white button up blouse and a black skirt.

I learned some things. But most importantly, Sister Martin (?), the French one, was mad cute.

I learned about how they have to go door to door and thought how frustrating it must be on their end of the situation. Next time mormons visit my house I'll be sure to talk to them

Yeah I learned a lot. I think it's cool they want to do that, but it sucks that they can't talk to their family and they can't really do anything. Also, I couldn't go that long without ever being alone.

I think they are pretty commendable for having the will to do what they are doing for 18 months straight. I think it's impressive that they are not forced to do this mission. They care so much about their religion that they're willing to make this sacrifice gladly. I have a greater respect for the Mormon guys a see riding around now that I know what their mission is like.

i agree with matt, plus they seem very cool about everything, but i don't think i would let some random people in my house if they do knock on my door

I thought it was interesting that laundry was an exiting part of their day.

i was surprised because they were kind of soft spoken. i was thinking they were going to talk more about the religion like they were trying to convert us. i was surprised that when they go door to door they are not trying to convert but trying to teach people about the religion.

I agree, it would be interesting to learn but I wouldn't convert to their religion. When I lived in Virginia there were a lot of people at my school who knew I was Muslim and tried to convert me at times into Christianity, but that was just scary.
I wouldn't be able to live like missionaries do for two years too.
