What do you mean "at this time"? When do you think the book is set?
Ok i meant "in the setting of the book if you were Arnold". Sorry.
i would have ignored what others said because their opinion doesn't matter. if i was truly in love with the apache woman i would have stayed with her.
i wouldnt really care if i really loved her but it would definetly be hard to take pressure from people who you see all the time. I think arnold left edgars mother because he just wasnt ready to be commited to someone of a difffernt culture
i think if you are truely in love with the person you will not let what other think affect your relationship with that person. It will be hard but life is not easy. You will have to struggle to overcome what people think.
while today i would say that i would most certainly not allow what others think take me away from someone that i truly love, it is hard to judge people from other eras because the pressures they felt are something that i could never understand fully. marrying your love years ago could have jeopardized your whole family's well-being and im sure that many felt selfish for doing so.
No, I mean when is the book set? 1880? 1930? 1970? 2008?
i think that it is a very good question and i dont think it matters what time becuase it is still an issue today...i would not let what others say stop me from loving someone becuase they are not in the relationship...its just you and the other person
if she is hot and i love her passionately then definitely i would say screw all the people..if people want to kill me over my relationship then they can..
i would not worry abt what others thought abt me and my life. it woudl not be their buisness but on the other hand seeing the same poeple that make fun of you everyday would be hard to handle
i wouldnt worry about what the other people are saying because if they are giving u junk about it then u shouldnt really hang out with them and if i really love her i would stay with her no matter what even if she fell off the roof of a house
this book is set in september of 1978, thats my guess
if you truly love someone, you don't let things such as race or creed influence y'alls relationship
I think this book is set in present day. I mean i think it's like around 2001. It was copyrighted in 2001, but theres nothing in the book that indicates it being set in the past or anything.
i wouldn't care what people think about my relationship because it;s what you feeel that matters--it's not other people's relationship, it's your own
If it was someone I cares about I wouldnt let other peoples opinions interfere with my relationship.
i think that i would stay with that person and ignore everyone else. but i don't think arnold left edgar's solely because people were pressuring him to but i think it was more that he wanted to be a cowboy more than anything more than even being with her.
